Newt 03:17
I look down and see A small newt in a stream And it looks up back at me I sit down and stare It vanishes in air Soon I forget it was there Now there’s a place In some empty space Where myself laughs in my face Some clouds patch the sky Touch them if you try You won’t feel the sun go by Now that I’m here I find This place that lies behind The red curtain in my mind An idea caught my ear The newt mustn’t hear And I turn away in fear

A touch of black And a touch of white Now go and fight We are but two shades Of the waiting bride Now choose your side Never have I felt a friend and a foe to the ones that I love And as I carry on I feel I’m fighting like I’m on my own Blurring, when one body splits in two I split too Blurring, the whole cannot function as one It’s all still unclear And I emerge a messy grey Fall not into the snare of the crazy people Their gifts and prophecies are in vain How do they cast demons if they seem to have them They must be insane In the end, the Lord will not know your names Stuck up, legalistic, fundamental snobbery Step down from your pedestal and learn to love Have you any hearts, can you feel nothing From up above? Hold still, the plank in your eye is rather large I am the Grey Knight who fights for the Word I may not comprehend Tight as a rope I am pulled in both ways to protect either end And in the end when I’ll kneel at the throne I’ll remember to ask if my renegade ways are of favor in His holy eyes

Regeneration 08:30
Twin masses lit by mana alone But soon they shall decay For unbeknownst to most Their shadow flies not far away Fabled as a mythic world To others it’s the clue The hero sealed the final pact And made the one world two Regeneration The Chosen has been called Regeneration The journey had begun The girl brought up in innocence An angel she shall be But sacrifices must be made To lose humanity The church bells ring, the light shines bright The prophecy fulfilled A childhood friendship left behind That a lifetime took to build Protectors come to aid the girl Until the quest complete And goes with them a village boy Who longs to make ends meet Knowledge of another world Delude the travelers’ aim The madman laughs, the people scream The player rules the game

I. Fanfare (instrumental) II. The Tale of the King Far ‘cross the meadows of English land Born a poor boy, his cry heard through the earth Imperfect boy, a slave and a dreamer Hail at the young king’s birth Hero, legacy of ages to come Had been destined by God from above He never thought he had blood of kings The stone decreed his time had finally come The wise man had told him “Your name will be great Time won’t stand still and the sword, it awaits Know your purpose, the journey won’t be small The stone offers you the blade for you to conquer all And on this long voyage your soul must embrace The great love of the Lord, the warmth of his grace So may the Spirit guide you, you’re all on your own May God give you the strength to pull the Sword from the Stone When the boy had learned this was the time Down on his knees, he cried upon high Like a flash, his heart with Christ was filled The time to draw the blade was finally nigh The Sword of the Spirit-the greatest weapon Sharper than any two-edged sword Harness power against merchants of evil Fight to rightfully serve the one true Lord III. Otherworld A world not known to me Water everywhere I see Awake beneath the blue Thy people, they feed here too My first lesson learned The old man took me to a place beneath the waves To show me a world Where the creatures prey upon their own kind The world goes round And for every to there is a fro You’re all on your own In a world where we fight to live and grow But nonsense that be When things unseen We are meant to seek Above the sea IV. The Journey Continues… (instrumental) V. The Last Plate of Armor Satan did not wait to strike His jet black horse was snorting fire To a joust he challenged me When my guard was down Armed with lancet in his hand Temptation is consuming me Sneering from his fiery helm A brave knight you will never be Then I gird my humble loins The whole armor of the Lord Shield and helmet, breast and feet And above all else the sword Draw of blood and clash of steel Trembling in the gaze of sin Proving more than just a squire Let the duel begin VI. Once and Future King The victories of the king will be passed through the ages A life of exploration and success Lying on his deathbed, he waits for those who love him Reciting all his sins to confess Thousands of people cry out for his name As he holds his sword high in the air The armor of God had provided eternal Protection and shelter from the snare Hail to the Lord, here we sing, to the Once and Future King Rememb’ring what the old man told him His voyage was long and done The sword had guided his ev’ry step in life The stone decreed his time had finally come His body drifted down to Avalon The people gathered as they saw the sight The spirit of the king ascending to the clouds And disappearing in the dead of night

about

An album created back in the summer of 2010. After my first band, Fablemen, broke up, I had developed a collection of 70's prog influenced songs, put together as a solo album. Unfortunately, lack of time and resources kept me from polishing it and promoting it for the world to hear, not to mention I had to finish school at the time.

So here lies a collection of all the demos, as a rough sketch of an album. Some of the material I'm still very fond of, but I've since moved on from this stylistic approach, and I'm not sure if I really have any plans on revisiting or re-recording it. As a piece of my musical development, though, it is vital.

All songs composed from April 2009 - August 2010
